CoolWhip Status page.
On this page we will try to
inform you of what we're up to. If we have any production- or
delivery problems they will be posted here, and we'll also tell
you about positive and negative experiences we may have with the
different projects we're working on (as soon as we feel
comfortable publishing anything about them of course).
The page will be updated on a regular basis, but don't expect
something new every day.
The newest stuff will be listed at the top of the page.

The general idea was to bring to you the new Slot1/A forced Air cooler together with another great piece of news (which unfortunately leaked prematurely at HardOCP) namely that of an excelent "Goldfinger- OC-Card" for the AMD Athlon series called the JumpStart from ACDC. We bring it to you here, both because it seems an extraordinay good and cost effective piece of OC-hardware, and because of our close coorporation ACDC in general.

We have updated the On-Line Shop with some additions to the most powerfull Liquid Cooling systems, so they are now shipped mounted in a PC-High-Tower Case ready to use with Start-up relay etc. The reason for this step is, that if not mounted properly you can actually get serious problems, when utilising High Powered Peltier elements.
The new CoolWhip forced Air cooler will be released shortly, orders will be accepted from January, for delivery from first batch comming out in beginning of February, so get ready for some mean-machine (not very noisy) Cooling performance. (The Ultimate Athlon Peltier based Cooler).
Happy NewYear

Since last we have had a few problems with the telephone lines, seemingly water had entered a distribution Cable in a nearby town, so we were out of phones for several days ENTIRELY. We have also encountered a few "hick-ups" with the Credit Card ordering system, causing us not to receive all relevant info to swiftly expedite the orders coming in that way. All those problems have however been resolved, and we are now happily sending out orders via the new UPS shipping system too (as of yesterday only actually).
On the "new products" frontier we have put up some new accessories to assist you in better Cooling capabilities and system stability at the same time. You can check them out here. Unfortunately we will not be able to present the new Coolers before we have all the mounting brackets sorted out, so it will most likely not happen before in January Year 2000

Unfortunately there have been some problems with the On-Line Shop server tonight, moreover the WEB hotel have still not cleaned up all the access problems to some of the WEB pages, which they created when reloading the server!?! We hope everything gets in order by tomorrow, sorry for the inconvenience.
6/12-99
Since some time Sunday afternoon, an error at the WEB hotel where we are located caused our WEB to ask for username and password in order to get access, (not really a very smart way of marketing our products). As soon as we realised the problem (somebody reported it kindly back to us) we got them to fix it instantly. Sorry about that.
Here are just a few pictures from the resulting leftovers of the hurricane. Normal power has still not been restored in the area, therefore we do not have any water either.
![]() This building was indirectly cause of the most serious damage in the area |
![]() Here are some of the parts from the aforementioned building scattered all over the place. It would have been suicidal to go outdoors during the 4 hours it was on its highest. |
![]() This entire barn was completely demolished by the hurricane, which presented wind speeds of over 45m/sec. |
![]() This chimney was knocked down, by one of the free "floating" parts from the first building, where after it fell down on the plastic roof to the left. The storm took care of the rest. |

Sorry
for the delay, but we have had an incredible
"hurricane" here, with wind speeds up to 45m/sec. The
most powerful registered here in Denmark ever, and we were hit by
it "Bulls eye".
Several buildings around here, have been totally demolished,
roofs have been torn off and been flying around knocking down
electric wires and even chimneys (amongst one ours!!!). Actually
there is no power in the district at all right now, but I managed
to bring life to an old generator (app. 15 years old and hardly
ever used at all, except for an occasional test some years back).
The amazing thing is, that we managed to get it run almost
instantly, and fiddling around with hand lights and candle lights
until we finally got the electric wires connected to it. It is
currently powering the Freezer, the Fridge, a few lamps and the
computer which I am sitting with right now incl. the ISDN line
driver which luckily bypasses the telephone Central in the
company, and therefore is our only link to the outside world. No
other phone lines works here at the moment. I will try to bring
you a few photos from the disaster which I managed to make this
morning, but right now I have some Roof work to take care of at
home, so I am off now.
By the way I managed to get the On-Line store operative for Credit Card payments via the secure server, so feel free to help yourself. (regards Programmer at development@coolwhip.dk)

The credit card payment scheme should hopefully be ready and operative by tomorrow afternoon. It should even be able to show you the approx. total in your own currency, so no more answering exchange rate questions!
Some of the orders we have received we have put on hold in order that they can be reprocessed and resolved with the implementation of the Credit Card payment ability.
We have actually developed a little smart circuit for the sub zero cooling solutions, that will prevent the CPU from operating until the desired temperature is reached, this way your system can boot up directly at the accelerated speed, very handy for servers and other high demanding applications. It will be posted later this week, so you can have a look at it.

These past few days have been rather
hectic since Overclockin.com posted the review
of the CoolWhip Dual and Turbo models. We have received a lot of
emails (and orders :-)), and have spent a lot of time answering
them all. Actually, we would appreciate if you would read our FAQ before asking us directly, since most of the
question already was answered there. Pretty please (with sugar on
top).
Enough complaining...
We are working on a new and VERY powerful air-cooler, that will
be able to utilise 2x59W TEC's, and like all our other coolers,
it will be very compact too. In fact, it will be about 3/4 the
size of the Alpha P125x models, and will be the ideal choice for
cooling the Athlon line of CPU's or a Dual Pentium set-up.
Performance wise, it will rank somewhere in between our CoolWhip
Air Turbo and the CoolWhip Liquid series of coolers, so the
product line will then be more complete.
We expect to have it ready for production in a couple of weeks,
but we'll keep you posted on how it's coming along.
We are also putting the final touch on the credit card module of the order form, so it will be possible for for all those customers with a loose credit card hanging around, and too far to the bank (and no home banking either) to still acquire one or more... (remember the extra 5% mix. order discount) of our Cooler creations.
We have updated the efficiency values (ºC/W) of the different coolers in the price list, since most of the values we originally entered were a bit too conservative in comparison with some recent tests we have performed on the coolers. The new values we entered, though still on the conservative side, are more accurate and therefore provides better grounds for comparison.
